HEREFORD UNITED boss Martin Foyle has taken the first steps towards creating a promotion-contending squad for next season.
Foyle took over at the start of the season and has done a very good job at the helm, guiding the club to a sixth-place finish in the Conference Premier.
But the former Football League club will be looking to improve on that next term and secure a return to the promised land of League Two.
And with that in mind, Foyle has released six players and offered three new deals.
Those leaving Edgar Street are Brian Smikle, Andy Gallinagh, Dan Hanford, Simon Clist, James McQuilkin and Michael Townsend.
Meanwhile, Sam Clucas, Ryan Bowman and Marley Watkins have been offered fresh terms.
