HAVERHILL Rovers have landed something of a coup after completing the signing of five-time Football League promotion-winning striker Paul Hayes.
The 39-year-old, who scored more than 100 goals in a professional career at the likes of Scunthorpe United, Barnsley and Charlton Athletic, was appointed director of football at Step 3 Bowers & Pitsea back in May but has now agreed to dust down his boots and assist Marc Benterman’s men’s survival bid in the Eastern Counties Premier.
