GRIMSBY TOWN have received a grant of £19,000 to help improve their Blundell Park stadium.
The Mariners will use the five-figure some given to them by the Football Stadia Improvement Fund to carry out repairs and maintenance on the floodlights at the ground.
Stadium manager for the Blue Square Bet Premier promotion chasers, Nick Dale, commented: “In today’s current financial climate, we are delighted to receive this grant from the FSIF.
“This funding will enable us to carry out repairs and maintenance to the floodlight towers at Blundell Park, thus ensuring the continuation of football at our historical stadium until such time as a new stadium is realised.”
