Marcus Law Wants Management Return

MARCUS LAW says he is ready and raring to return to management more than a year since he was axed by .

The 38-year-old led the Lambs to an third round trip to Everton in his first season in charge, but was sacked last January with the Staffordshire side 19th in the Conference Premier.

He joined David Hockaday’s Forest Green coaching staff on a part-time basis earlier this season, but left the New Lawn with the former Rovers manager in October.

Law, who has applied for the vacant job, told : “I’ve been getting out to plenty of games in the Skrill North and Premier, updating my little black book.

“But I read what said recently about taking the job because he didn’t want to sit around just watching games, waiting for the perfect job to come along, and he’s spot on.

“It’s been a frustrating time, but I’m refreshed and ready to get back on the bike.”

Law previously bossed and , who he led to the Midland Alliance championship and semi-final in 2009-10, and he added: “My two jobs in full-time management have been quite testing at Kettering and Tamworth.

“But I believe I’m a better manager and coach for handling the tough situations I’ve encountered. I just want to be putting that education into practice again.”
