KINGSTONIAN striker Ryan Moss is hoping to add a play-off victory against AFC Hornchurch on Wednesday to his clean sweep of club awards last week.
Moss capped a fine season leading the line for Kingstonian by receiving prizes for managers, players and supporters’ player of the season at the club’s awards ceremony on Easter Monday.
The ex-AFC Bournemouth front man has formed a lethal partnership with Andre McCollin this season and the pair, who have over 50 goals between them, are hoping to fire the club to play-off victory against the Essex side on Wednesday evening.
Ks sealed their play-off spot with back to back victories against Wealdstone and Carshalton Athletic on Easter weekend and claimed second place with a draw against Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday.
Moss told The NLP: “It has been a terrific run and the lads are about as confident as you could get – 14 games undefeated, few goals conceded and many scored, our form has been timed perfectly.
“I’m confident that we’re the best team in the play-offs and I’m humbled that the fans have voted for me [as player of the year],” he said. “My vote would have been for Rob Tolfrey, in my opinion he is the best keeper in the league with outstanding distribution and shot stopping.”
Moss praised manager Alan Dowson for guiding the Ks to the play-offs and thinks a couple of key signings have made all the difference in their success so far this year.
He said: “Dowse has been brilliant this season, training is always excellent and the club is run very professionally.
“I think the two signings he made of Pappoue and Laidler have been the difference and the reason our form at the end of the season has been so good.”
Ryan Moss and Kingstonian face Hornchurch at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday at 7.45, with the winners of the tie playing either Bognor Regis or Lowestoft Town in the play-off final, pick up Sunday’s Non-League Paper for a full round up.
