CRAIG LAIRD has quit Skrill South Weston-Super-Mare, just two months after he was sacked and reinstated within 24 hours!
Back in March, Laird was relieved of his duties over disagreements regarding the club’s budget but was quickly reinstated.
The Seagulls missed out on the play-offs, finishing in 11th, and after finding out his budget for next season, well liked Laird has decided to step down.
A club statement read: “We have explained to Craig the reasons and what has led to us having to reduce our playing budget for the coming season.
“At the same time, we explained that current circumstances are looking better regarding developing the club and that we would be in a position to progress to the Conference Premier in the 2015-16 season.
“Despite having spent considerable time explaining the rationale behind these decisions it is therefore a regret to receive his resignation.
“We would like to thank Craig for all the work he has done in producing excellent results on the pitch.”
