RYMAN PREMIER side Wingate & Finchley have added midfielder Carl McCluskey to their ranks on a dual-registration deal from Wealdstone.
McCluskey, 28, predominantly plays on the right-hand side of midfield and joined the Vanarama Conference South Stones in January from Hendon where he had scored 19 times in 95 games.
He helped Wealdstone to the Ryman Premier title last season but is yet to feature for Gordon Bartlett’s side so far this term at Step 2.
Blues fans will recognise McCluskey as he scored against them for Wealdstone back in March! He joins a Wingate side who have started well having won five of their eight league games so far.
In a bid to get his match fitness up, the midfielder was set to feature in Wingate’s Under-21 game against AFC Hornchurch today (Thursday).
