CHEY DUNKLEY has become the latest player to depart Harriers – joining League Two side Oxford United.

Kiddy announced on Monday that a deal for the central defender had been agreed and that he was in talks with the U’s.

Dunkley captained on Tuesday night and his international duty stalled the deal, which is set to be officially confirmed today.

The defender will join Oxford on an initial loan deal with the move becoming permanent in January.

Kiddy signed the 22-year-old from for £5,000 in the summer of 2012 and he has gone on to become one of the best central defenders outside the League, and a key part of the England C side.

Dunkley follows Michael Gash, who joined Nuneaton on loan, out of the Aggborough door. Striker Nathan Blissett has also departed, leaving for league rivals Bristol Rovers.

At a fans’ forum last week, boss Gary Whild warned that young stars would have to be sold to help ease the club’s current money worries.
