CHASETOWN have moved quickly to appoint a new manager by offering Marcus Law a return to Non-League management.
Law, a former Barwell and Kettering boss, left Tamworth in January 2013 and has been out of management ever since.
The Evo-Stik NPL Division One South side, famous for their FA Cup exploits, sacked boss Craig Harris on Saturday night after the Scolars’ 2-0 defeat at Coalville Town that left them in 17th.
The Scholars have won just two of their last 17 league games and Law has been charged with leading the club back up the league.
A Chasetown statement read: “The management committee met with Marcus, who has an excellent Non-League managerial record and it was clear he shares the same ambitions as the football club.
“His local knowledge and background of managing at this level as well as his experience in the Conference Premier made him a standout candidate.
“He knows Chasetown very well, having managed opponents against the Scholars over several seasons.”
