Kidderminster lose winger Marvin Johnson to Motherwell

MARVIN JOHNSON has left to move north of the border with Scottish Premiership strugglers Motherwell.

It was always going to be tough for the Conference side to keep hold of the pacy winger with finances being tight.

The 24-year-old, who joined Kiddy from in 2012, was also interesting League One side but he opted to move to Motherwell for an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £50,000.

Well boss Ian Baraclough, the former manager, was said to have watched Johnson numerous times this season with the winger chipping in with ten goals.

Johnson said: “I’m very pleased to be here and I get the gut feeling that I am heading in the right direction.

“The manager and staff have given me the backing and confidence that I need so that is pleasing and I’m ready to get going straight away.

“People say I’m an exciting player and I hope that is what I can bring. Normally I set players up but this season I have found myself in the right position at the right time and when I find myself in that position I go for goal and have ended up scoring ten.”
