POOLE TOWN have signalled their intent for next season with the signing of former Bournemouth striker Alan Connell.
The Dolphins were pipped to the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier title on the final day before losing to St Neots Town in the play-offs.
However, boss Tom Killick has moved quickly to try and ensure promotion next term and Connell joins having spent last season with Havant & Waterlooville.
The 32-year-old has over 300 Football League appearances to his name and also starred for Grimsby in the Conference Premier.
Connell played in the Vanarama Conference South last season with the Hawks but injuries hampered his campaign and he will be hoping for more luck with the Dolphins.
