Dave Challinor: AFC Fylde won’t coast against Coleshill Town

DAVE CHALLINOR says his AFC side will not be taking lightly in their clash on Saturday.

The Coasters will be heavily fancied to beat Midland League Premier side Coleshill at home but Challinor is aware of the threat they pose.

The Coleman have already beaten , , and to make it to the third round qualifying.

They have been handed a tough trip to North high-flyers Fylde and Challinor is making sure his side are fully focused.

“This is a very important game for us and it’s key that we don’t let our standards slip against a lower league side,” he said.

“We know what the FA Cup brings in terms of extra revenue for the club and opportunities to test ourselves against higher ranked clubs, so we are taking it very seriously.

“People will look at this fixture and think that we have an easy tie, well that isn’t the case. On paper we couldn’t have asked for more, but unfortunately football doesn’t work that way.

“We have prepared like we would for any other game. We watched Coleshill earlier in the week and we will be working as hard as ever to get a positive result. We have put a game plan together and make no mistake, we want to be in the draw for the next round.

“Coleshill come here on the back of three victories over higher ranked teams so far in this competition, so we are well aware that they will raise their game. They will be coming here looking to cause an upset and we will be doing our utmost to ensure that doesn’t happen.

“Our success and performances have always been based around hard work. We will play at a high tempo and hopefully that extra quality that we have will shine through on the day.

“We are expecting a tough game and if we are not at the top of our game then that leaves us open to disappointment.”
