BRIAN PAGE has left his roles as first team manager and scholarship lead co-ordinator at Evo-Stik League Southern Premier side Histon.
Page originally joined the club five years ago, serving as assistant manager to Dave Livermore as well as overseeing the scholarship scheme.
He stepped up to become first team manager in 2013 and although the Stutes were relegated from Conference North, he kept a youthful squad in the Southern Premier last term.
The club are currently 19th in the league and Page quit as manager following Saturday’s 5-4 defeat at Kettering Town. He had stepped down from his scholarship role last week.
Assistant manager Lance Key will take the team for Tuesday night’s game against King’s Lynn Town and the club hope to make an announcement on new appointments in the next few days.
A Histon statement read: “The board would like to express their thanks to Brian for everything he has done for the club over the last five years, a period of time during which he has had an enormous impact on the football club at all levels.
“His success at developing talented young players and progressing them through into the first team, and in many cases further on up into professional football, is a credit to him and his coaching ability.
“Furthermore the board would like to wish Brian every success in what will surely be a successful future within the game.”
