FOR the first time in the FA Cup‘s 134-year history, the ticket design for the final will feature a photo captured by a football fan on their Cup adventure this season.
The FA Cup final is one of the biggest days in the sporting calendar and one lucky fan will see their image emblazoned on the ticket for the Wembley showpiece.
Any image taken between now and the semi-finals could feature on the tickets. All fans have to do is post their image to Instagram and tag with #EmiratesFACup.
Renowned Instagram photographer Emmanuel Cole will help launch the competition on Saturday as Leyton Orient host Ryman Premier side Staines Town.
He will be joined by representatives from the FA in judging photos submitted by fans on a round-by-round basis.
Cole said: “The Emirates FA Cup is one of this country’s finest traditions. From a photographic perspective, it is full of incredibly rich content – the twists and turns, the players’ glory and despair and the fans emotions all come together to showcase the unique adventures of the competition.
“For a fan to have their photo featured on the ticket design for this season’s final is a amazing opportunity to showcase the competition’s importance to the fans.”
