Experienced boss Terry Dolan joins the board at Bradford PA

YORKSHIRE legend Terry Dolan has accepted an invitation to join the board of directors at side Bradford Park Avenue.

Dolan will make his return to the club that he started his playing career at back in 1968. He will start his role as soon as approval is received.

After leaving Avenue following three successful seasons and being made captain, he went on to play for Huddersfield Town, Bradford City and .

He later became player-coach of and Harrogate Town in before moving into senior management in the 80s and 90s with Bradford City, Rochdale and Hull City.

After taking up a coaching role at Huddersfield Town, he returned to management in 2000 with before a stint in charge of in 2006. He has also been a consultant/coach to the St Vincent and Grenadines national team and spent last season as head of recruitment for .

Club owner Gareth Roberts said: “We’re really pleased that Terry has agreed to join the board.  He will bring a wealth of professional knowledge and experience in the sport of football, both on and off the pitch, to help inform some of our decision making.

“We hope he will play a key role in securing our role in the local community, promoting our current teams and also helping to spearhead a growth in our youth football.”

Terry Dolan added: “I’m extremely pleased to be invited to join the board of Bradford Park Avenue.  The owners have exciting plans for the future of the club and I will do everything I can to help them achieve their aims.

“As a football club working with the community, we can build up the fan base and together, eventually, see Avenue back in the Football League.”
