CHRISTMAS has come early for Ebbsfleet United‘s travelling fans after the club announced that all coach travel to the FA Trophy game at Oxford City will be free of charge.
The first round proper tie, on Saturday December 12, is bound to be an interesting match between the two high-flying Vanarama National League South sides.
It’ll be Fleet’s first visit to Oxford’s Marsh Lane home for 17 years. The two teams drew 1-1 in the league at Stonebridge Road last month.
Fleet vice-chairman Peter Varney said: “Our support away from home this season has been unbelievable and we wanted to show our appreciation to the fans for that and to give them an early Christmas present to recognise how much we appreciate them.
“I would like us to fill as many coaches as possible and turn the tie into a home match. In return, all I ask of the supporters is that they bedeck themselves in red on the day!”
