Scott Machin quits as Loughborough Dynamo manager

SCOTT MACHIN resigned as boss of before Saturday’s win over following just 73 days in charge.

Former joint-manager Machin stepped in to replace Lee Morris and Jason Maguire in late September but the team has struggled for form and his last game at the helm was last Saturday’s 9-1 mauling at .

Dynamo won just one of the 12 games Machin was in charge for and he decided to call it quits before the 3-2 victory over Carlton on Saturday. Despite the win, the club are still second from bottom in the NPL Division One South.

Former Loughborough striker Kris Nurse, 29, has been put in caretaker charge and kicked off his spell with the win against Carlton.

Dynamo chairman Frank Fall said: “Scott Machin has resigned from his post as manager of Loughborough Dynamo. Kris Nurse is covering the position in a caretaker capacity, and we at Dynamo would like to thank Kris and his coaching staff colleagues for overseeing Saturday’s match against Carlton Town.

“We are actively looking to appoint a new manager, but I do not anticipate making any announcement until after this coming Wednesday’s match against .”
