SEAN GEDDES, Worcester City‘s FA Cup hero from last season, has re-signed for Evo-Stik NPL Premier side Stourbridge.
Former Manchester United and Walsall youngster Geddes signed for Stourbridge in the summer of 2011 and went on to make 159 appearances in the heart of midfield.
Known for his expert precision from the penalty spot, Geddes netted 64 times for the Glassboys before leaving for Conference North outfit Worcester last September.
He will be best known for his two goals at the Ricoh Arena that sent Worcester to a famous FA Cup upset against Coventry City.
He also grabbed The Non-League Paper’s goal of the season award for his outrageous ‘Rabona’ goal against Barrow in the FA Trophy.
Geddes has been brought back to Amblecote to replace Tom Tonks who left for National League North side AFC Telford United last week.
Glassboys boss Gary Hackett said: “I’m delighted to have Sean back at Stourbridge. We’ve always kept in touch and I’ve got a lot of time for him.
“He’s a lively lad and great to have around, and he has a track record of delivering on the pitch. He had three tremendous years with us, and for a midfielder his strike rate was exceptional. He’s looking forward to the challenge.”
