WALTON & HERSHAM have been deducted three points in the Ryman South after the Football Association rejected their appeal against fielding an ineligible player.
The Swans have been fined £100 and docked the three points earned in their opening day 4-1 win over Whitstable Town on Saturday, August 8.
They were charged by the Ryman League in accordance with League Rule 6.9 for playing an ineligible player, Chidi-James Williams Agunabor.
Agunabor was supposed to serving a three-match suspension carried over from last season which was imposed while he played for Erith Town in the Southern Counties East League.
The FA announced their conclusion to reject the club’s appeal on Wednesday with an FA Appeal Board deciding “it was not in accordance with the Regulations governing the lodging of an Appeal”.
The three points have been immediately taken from the Swans’ record and they fell two places to 21st ahead of their Boxing Day clash at home to Carshalton Athletic.
