SOME clubs rely on selecting a consistent attacking force, but as you can see, other clubs have spread their goals amongst a massive selection of attacking players.
Four of the five clubs clubs with the most goalscorers have yet to benefit from an ‘own goal’.
Hemel Hempstead Town have only failed to score in three games. They have a potent striking partnership in Jamie Slabber and Oliver Hawkins who had scored 11 goals each before the latter’s move to Dagenham & Redbridge this week, but 16 other scorers have already scored for the Tudors.
The third club with 18 individual scorers sharing their goals this season is St Neots Town and they have one of the season’s outstanding marksman in Tom Meechan, whose 22 goals are matched with 36 more from seventeen colleagues.
Of the 15 clubs with at least 17 individual goalscorers, only four haven’t benefitted from goals scored by the opposition, but the clubs’actual totals at this stage of the season vary.
East Thurrock United (who failed to score for the first time this season in their 32nd fixture) already have 82 goals, but so far this season Sutton Coldfield Town have only managed 37 from their 17 marksmen.
