BATH CITY gave their National League South survival hopes a massive boost after Tyler Harvey’s goal from the halfway line capped a remarkable comeback against local rivals Weston-super-Mare.
Weston looked to have claimed all three points in the Somerset derby on Easter Monday as Scott Wilson fired into the bottom corner in the 91st minute.
A Weston win would have taken them above Bath and within a point of safety but the Romans levelled in the 93rd minute when Harvey netted from the spot after Weston skipper Kane Ingram was red carded for handling a shot on the line.
The best, however, was yet to come a minute later. Weston lost the ball from the restart, it found its way its way to Harvey on the halfway line and after one touch, he unleashed an almighty right-footed effort that flew over visiting keeper Luke Purnell and into the net.
The amazing winner pushed Bath up to 41 points and three points clear of the relegation places while poor Weston are now four points adrift of safety after a crazy two minutes.
