Holt United moved up into second place following their 2-1 home win over Hamworthy Recreation.

Both sides competed in what was an end to end game that saw the Bulls take the lead in the 19th minute with a strike from Lewis Burgiss.

However, the visitors soon hit back with a goal from Dan Blackburn.

The winning goal came from Chris Payne on the hour to give Holt their eighth win while Hamworthy were tasting defeat for the fifth time and slip down to third place.

Fifth place Chickerell United made it four wins in a row when they defeated their hosts 5-1.

Joshua Why netted a hat trick, while Joshua Tennant and Nicholas Etherington were also on target for the Chickens.

Luke Crane converted from the penalty spot as a consolation for Shaftesbury, who slip to eleventh place after their seventh defeat of the season.

Sixth place side Bridport recorded their sixth win when they won away at Blandford Town 3-2.

The Bees raced into a 3-0 lead at half time with their goals coming from Gary Bulman, Michael Hailu and Tristan Gale.

The Royals produced a far better second half performance, scoring twice through Joe Wells and Joe Baker – but they were unable to find an equaliser.

This was Blandford’s 10th defeat and they stay in the bottom four.

Tintinhull hoisted themselves up into seventh place with their sixth win of the campaign, beating Merley Sports 4-1.

After a goalless first half Tintinhull took the lead through Garry Moutford but the Sports hit back with a goal through Luke Phillips.

The visitors restored their lead with a goal from Luke Jennings and ran in a further two goals from Joshua Payne and Andy Childs to take the points.

Reserves moved up into the top half of the League with a 3-0 victory against their hosts, promoted side Wareham Rangers.

Ashley Wells, Tom Bell and Sanchez Jansz-Baker all found the net for Weymouth to influct a sixth defeat for the Rangers, who fall to 12th place.

Cranborne made it three wins in their last three game after their odd goal in five win against Poole Borough.

Adam Beattie bagged a brace and Oliver Hand got his side’s other, while on target for the Hornets was Luke Pidgley, who scored both.

This win for the Cranes moves them up into 13th place while Poole remain rooted to the foot of the table.

Hamworthy did manage to pull one back but Portland rounded things off with a fourth on 84 minutes.
