In a January 15 story we stated that Margate chairman Bob Laslett had ‘scarpered at the first sign of a mid-table season’ and reported that he had left the club short of funds.
We now accept that this is incorrect and that Mr Laslett resigned for health reasons and provided the club with funds going forward. We are happy to set the record straight and apologise to Mr Laslett.
