are to wind up their season with a four-game tour of China.

The trip in May will include the club’s 100th overseas game since they were founded in 1961 with previous visits taking them to the likes of Brazil and Cuba.

The tour has been organised in conjunction with former Stockport County commercial director Steve Bellis, who is now a director of Kickworldwide, a company which aims to develop in countries overseas.

In between games, the Hallmark Security North West Counties Division One outfit will be providing training and coaching to local schools.

Club chairman Chris Davies, who has been on every one of Cheadle’s overseas trips, said: “Ever since 1963, when the trips began, the club has continued to fulfil a tradition of playing football across the world because we understand that there is a lot to learn from playing teams of different nationalities who appreciate the beautiful game.”

Cheadle, who fly out to Beijing on May 20 from Manchester Airport, will become the first UK side to play a game in the Shaanxi province.

They have four matches planned in two different cities with the final game, the 100th to be played overseas by Cheadle Town, taking place in the Chinese capital of Beijing.
