JAMIE COLLINS will remain with Forest Green Rovers until the summer of 2014 after signing a one-year contract extension at the New Lawn.
The 27-year-old arrived at the club on an 18-month deal from Aldershot Town in January this year and went on to score twice in 12 games for David Hockaday’s side.
Midfielder Collins says the extension of his contract will allow him to focus on the job in hand – securing promotion from the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Speaking to the club’s website, he said: “Obviously with two years of security you don’t have to worry about where you are going to end up next season.
“It’s a big relief off your mind and allows you to concentrate on playing as many games as you can and doing a job for team.
“Our main goal is to get into the Football League, so we want to be in and around the play-offs this season.”
