HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE boss Lee Bradbury is targeting the National League South play-offs next season after the Hawks secured an instant return to Step 2.
Bradbury’s men could only grab a point at Kingstonian on the final day but it turned out to be enough as Bognor Regis drew 1-1 at home to Met Police.
The Hawks celebrated their Ryman Premier title on the pitch at Kingsmeadow, 12 months after the Hawks suffered relegation from the National League South.
Ex-Bournemouth boss Bradbury signed a new two-year deal earlier this month and he is predicting a bright future for the Hawks following their title success.
He told the club’s website: “If I look at Poole Town and Hungerford who both went up last season, one of them is in the play-off places and one is just outside in sixth position so that has to be our aim next year, try and make the play-offs.
“It will be hard but I feel with the group we have and a few additions we can be a force to be reckoned with next season.
“The hard work really starts now for me, I need to cement some of these players down and try and improve the team so we are a force next season.”
He added: “I’ve only been in management six years and have never won the league, to win any league is a big achievement.
“We were in a very competitive league with some very strong sides, we stayed strong throughout and came out deserved champions. It has been a great season for me and know its time to do it all again.”
