SCARBOROUGH Athletic will be looking to put some pressure on Evo-Stik North leaders South Shields tonight (Tuesday) when they host bottom club Goole AFC at the Flamingo Land Stadium.
The fourth-placed Seadogs have won their last seven matches in all competitions and can move to within two points of leaders Shields against a Goole side looking for their first point on the road.
The rest of the top five aren’t in action but sixth place Ramsbottom United can make up ground with victory at 17th place Clitheroe, although the Rams are yet to win away from home this season.
The only other game in the division sees a mid-table affair between 12th-place Ossett Town – yet to register a point at home this season – and Mossley, who lie a place above them.
In the South, it’s a big night for some of the teams at the foot of the table as they look to pull themselves away from the relegation places.
Third-bottom Sheffield FC make the tough trip to seventh place Leek Town, while fourth-bottom Corby Town will be looking to make ground when they travel to Chasetown, who lie 15th.
Market Drayton Town, a point and a place above Corby, entertain mid-table Loughborough Dynamo eyeing up a third straight win, while, on Wednesday night, Stocksbridge Park Steels will be looking to make inroads on the leaders when they make the trip to 12th-place Lincoln United, who will be looking to preserve their unbeaten home record.
