BISHOP’S STORTFORD will be hoping to perform a trick on visitors Kettering Town on Tuesday night – while giving fans a Halloween treat!
In a fiendishly clever plan to get punters through the gates, the Bishops have offered free admission to anyone who dressed up in Halloween costume for the visit of the Evo-Stik Southern Premier high-fliers.
To celebrate this fang-tastic offer, Stortford boss Kevin Watson braved the cameras along with three spooky members of his first-team squad this week ahead of yesterday’s FA Trophy tie with Hanwell Town. And they’ll be hoping to get amongst the ghouls on Tuesday night to put the frighteners on the Poppies.
Kettering can go within one point of Evo-Stik Southern Premier leaders Slough Town with a win at Bishop’s Stortford tonight.
The Poppies are currently fourth, but their good start to the season was derailed with an FA Trophy defeat Leek Town on Saturday.
In contrast, Bishop’s Stortford sealed a comfortable 4-0 win over Hanwell Town in the Trophy at the weekend, and will be Halhoping to claim their third home win of the season this evening – and give their visitors a scare!
