National League side Guiseley have signed midfielder Liam Hughes from Barrow on an undisclosed-length deal.
The 25-year-old, who came through the ranks at Cambridge United, made his professional debut in 2010 and went on to make 177 appearances for the club.
Hughes then headed north of the border, spending the 2015-16 season with Scottish side Inverness Caledonian Thistle, before joining Barrow last June.
With the Bluebirds, the midfielder went on to play 51 times – most recently in their 2-0 defeat to Macclesfield on 11 November.
With Guiseley languishing 22nd in the National League, Hughes will have to settle into the squad quickly as they battle for survival. He could make his debut in Saturday’s home fixture against Sutton United.
