Colchester United make double swoop for Bostik North stars

League Two club Colchester United have dipped into the market to sign duo Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe and Ryan Gondoh on 18-month deals from Bostik League North side .
Striker Ogedi-Uzokwe, 23, has scored a stunning 34 goals in as many games following his return to the country, having been in Cyprus for 18 months.
The former Town and striker tops all three Bostik divisions for goals scored, helping Kevin Horlock’s side to third.
He’ll be joined at Florence Park by teammate Gondoh, who has been amongst the goals himself this season, netting 12 times from midfield.
The 20-year-old signed a professional contract with in June 2015 but left at the end of that season.
Following spells at , and Carshalton, Gondoh has found his feet at Maldon since signing in the summer. He plays predominantly on the left wing but also at left back.
Colchester are one point off the League Two play-offs, in eighth.
