Hartlepool United boss Craig Harrison has warned rival clubs to forget about signing his namesake defender Scott in this January window – until, that is, a current injury crisis is eased.
Harrison has fallen down the pecking order at Pools in recent weeks, alerting the attentions of a number National League and Football League clubs.
But the boss insists the former Sunderland defender will not be allowed to leave until his services are no longer required at Victoria Park.
“Scott is with us, and will be with us until I deem he is not needed,” boss Harrison told the Hartlepool Mail.
“It is harsh on the lad being singled out, it is what it is, though.
“He has been injured but is now back on the training pitch.”
