Rob Edwards hopes for big AFC Telford backing tonight

AFC Telford manager Rob Edwards has told the Shropshire Star the he is hoping the club’s passionate fan base will be able to drive his team towards a crucial three points in tonight’s home game against .
Edwards’ side are currently sitting in 20th position in the North and are two points adrift of safety following a 2-1 defeat to Bradford Park Avenue on Easter Monday.
The Telford boss said, “Their (the fans) support is huge.

“There is a lot of talk about fans at West Ham not being happy, but they really got behind the team at the weekend and they managed to beat Southampton 3-0 (in the Premier League).

“Having that 12th man right behind you, whether you’re at the top or the wrong end of the table as we are, is massive.
“We want to get as many fans in as possible, but we also know it’s up to us to get them going.
“We know it’s tough for them as it’s been a difficult few years for the club.
“The onus is on the players to give them something to shout about, and hopefully they will really get the crowd going.”
Tonight’s fixture also represents an important game for the visitors who are currently occupying the final play-off position. Spenymoor are looking to achieve back-to-back promotions after winning the Northern Premier play-off final last summer.
