Barrow manager Ady Pennock has admitted that his defenders will have a tough time keeping tabs on striker Danny Kedwell during tomorrow’s game at Holker Street but has stressed that it would be a mistake to label the Kent side a “one man team”.
The 34-year-old has been in prolific form for The Fleet this season, finding the net an impressive 15 times and the Barrow boss and his assistant Jamie Day know all about the threat he poses having both previously coached him.
Pennock told The North West Evening Mail, “We both know Keds very well – we know him very well indeed. But we can’t just worry about him, we have to worry about another 10 as well, or another 15.
“They’re a very good team – they’re not a one-man-band, that’s for sure. They’ve spent a lot of money to get (Corey) Whitely in from Dagenham and Rredbridge.

“They’re a good set-up, they’re a club going forward, that’s for sure. The manager has done a good job there. But it’s about us – I can’t worry too much about them. If we did, we would be in the mire again.”
Barrow are currently locked in a battle for survival at the foot of the National League. The Bluebirds secured a vital three points on Tuesday in an entertaining 3-2 victory over Eastleigh. The result left Pennock’s side a point adrift of safety with five games left to play.
