Ahead of a crucial weekend we take a look at the key battles taking place within the National League tomorrow.
Macclesfield can secure the National League Title with a victory at 16th place Easteligh or if they match Tranmere’s result at FC Halifax.
Aldershot moved up to 3rd position after an impressive victory in mid week and The Shots will be keen to continue their momentum at home to relegation threatened Barrow. Ady Pennock’s Barrow have given themselves a fighting chance of beating the drop by opening up a two point cushion between themselves and the drop zone after winning two of their last three games.
AFC Fylde‘s run of four straight victories came to an abrupt halt last weekend as Dave Challinor’s side were beaten 1-0 by Maidstone. The Coasters will be desperate to return to winning ways against 18th-placed Solihull Moors.
Ebbsfleet have won their last three games to race into the National League play-off positions. Daryl McMahon’s side come up against a badly out of form Sutton United at Stonebridge Road. Fourth-placed Sutton have seen their title hopes disappear after losing four of their last five games and are now fighting to make it into the top two play-off positions.
Eight-placed Wrexham are without a win in their last four games and will be desperate to return to winning ways when they face Leyton Orient at the Racecourse Ground. Orient have little left to play for this season but recorded a hugely credible draw to delay Macclesfield’s promotion party last weekend.
Dover will need to overturn a run of four defeats in five if they are to re-ignite their play-off bid. The Whites now find themselves three points adrift of the play-off pack and will be in desperate need of a victory when they face Gateshead at The Crabble on Saturday.
Bromley have won their last two to leave themselves four points off the play-off positions with a crucial game in hand. Neil Smith’s side will have their work cut out against fifth-placed Boreham Wood. Luke Garrard’s side will come into tomorrow’s game on the back on an emphatic 4-2 victory over already relegated Chester last weekend.
Seven defeats in their last nine games has left Woking two points adrift of safety. The Cards have a huge opportunity to resurrect their survival bid when they travel to already relegated Guisley tomorrow. Guisley have lost their last three games and were on the wrong side of a 5-3 defeat to Dagenham and Redbridge last night.
Torquay‘s fate looks to be all but sealed despite an impressive 1-0 win over Halifax on Saturday. Gary Owers’ side will be relegated if they lose to Hartlepool at Plainmoore tomorrow.
