Following his resignation as Dagenham & Redbridge manager yesterday evening, John Still has been appointed as the new boss of fellow National League side Barnet.
The Bees suffered relegation from League Two in their final game of last season, after finishing behind 22nd placed Morecambe on goal difference.
In a statement on the club’s official website, Barnet Chairman Tony Kleanthous said, “After the debacle of last season, I decided that we needed someone who would bring stability and experience to the football management side of the club.
“The more we researched who would be the best candidate, the more the same name kept coming back.
“John knows the division better than any other manager and has won promotion from this division more times than any other manager.
“His remit is to run the football side from top to bottom and I am pleased to welcome him here and to once again work with him.”
Still is somewhat of an expert at guiding sides into the Football League, having won promotion out of Non-League‘s highest tier on three separate occasions, with Maidstone United in 1989, Dagenham & Redbridge in 2007 and most recently Luton Town in 2014.
