AFC Fylde have continued preparations for next season by signing experienced midfielder Joe Cardle.
The 31-year-old had a successful campaign in the Scottish Championship with Dunfermline last season, scoring 10 goals in 34 appearances to help the Pars reach the end of season play-offs.
Cardle started his professional career with Port Vale but has spent the last 10 years in Scotland representing the likes of Airdrie United, Raith Rovers and Ross County.
The midfielder will be best remembered in Scotland for his two spells with Dunfermline, where he racked up almost 200 first team appearances.
Speaking to the club’s official website, “When the opportunity came up I thought it was only right to come back to where I started my game and show people back here what I can do.
“I actually first spoke to the manager about three years ago, but a move never materialised at the time. I met up with him again in Scotland during AFC Fylde‘s pre-season training camp in Largs and I could see the love and ambition he had for the club and I can’t wait to be part of that.”
