Coventry City sign former Herne Bay left back Sam McCallum

Sam McCallum has become the latest player to secure a move to the League after he put pen to paper on a three-year with Coventry City.
The 17-year-old spent last season with and took part in Jamie Vardy’s V9 Academy, where he caught the eye of Coventry’s scouts.
McCallum, who will originally link up with Coventry’s U23 side, was also part of the England Schools’s Under-18s last season.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Coventry’s Under-23s coach Jason Farndon said, “At the start of the season we highlighted the fullback area as an option we needed to strenghthen and we are delighted to have brought in Sam.
“He was at the V9 Academy a few weeks back and he did well there and we are happy to have signed him to a three-year deal.
“Sam is an atheltic left-back and he’s an exciting project for us who we’re really going to push and help with his development.
“He is still only 17 and is eligible to play for the under-18s as well.”
