According to reports in the Hartlepool Mail, National League side Hartlepool United have taken defender Harlain Mbayo on trial.
The defender spent last season with SPL side Aberdeen were he was a commanding figure in the back line for the club’s under 20 side.
The 19-year-old, who has been capped at youth level by DR Congo, played in a behind closed doors friendly for Pools against Middlesborough earlier this week.
The talented defender played for Belgian giants Anderlecht at academy level before moving to England with his family.
Since arriving in the UK, Mbayo has represented a range of clubs including the likes of Brentford, Aldershot Town, Tottenham Hotspur and Oxford United.
