National League side Chesterfield have strengthened their strike force with the signing of Tom Denton from Alfreton Town.
The 29-year-old has signed an 18-month contract at the Proact Stadium after arriving for an undisclosed fee.
Denton has been in prolific form in the National League North this season, finding the net an impressive six times.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Chesterfield boss Martin Allen said, “Tom is a player we’ve been after for a while and he gives us another option to score goals and make goals.
He’s come from a lower level so he has a hunger to prove himself and do better.”
Chesterfield are currently sitting in 17th place in the National League table following a difficult start to the campaign.
