Curzon Ashton have been named as the Football Supporters Federation Community Club of the year.
The National League North side picked up the prestigious prize at The FSF’s awards.
NLP editor Alex Narey presented the award to Andy Chesire, Curzon’s community development manager, who said: “I’m absolutely overwhelmed to receive this award on behalf of Curzon Ashton.
“As a community club, this award is recognition of the enthusiasm and effort that every single member of the club puts in on a daily basis to be of benefit to our local community.
“It’s lovely to be recognised nationally for the work that is ongoing in Tameside, of which none of it would be possible without our partners, our volunteers and the small team of staff that we have.
“Hopefully we can continue to push on with our community outreach and development work and be of lasting benefit to our local community.”
