York City have announced that assistant manager Stuart Parnaby has left the club, following the departure of Sam Collins at the weekend.
The former Middlesbrough defender originally joined the National League North club in the summer under the management of Nick Gray but stayed on in his role when Collins was appointed in the early stages of the campaign.
Collins was formally relieved of his duties following the Minstermen’s 1-0 defeat at Curzon Ashton at the weekend, a result which left York stranded in 15th place in the National League North table, eight points adrift of the play-off positions.
Parnaby had a distinguished playing career, receiving caps for England at youth level and representing both Middlesbrough and Birmingham City in the Premier League.
