Chesterfield have appointed John Sheridan as their new manager.
The Spireites have been without a boss since Martin Allen’s departure two weeks ago.
Academy manager John Pemberton was placed in temporary charge and was unbeaten during his stint as caretaker-manager, overseeing draws against Hartlepool United, Solihull Moors and Ebbsfleet United.
Sheridan returns for a second spell in charge having managed Chesterfield from 2009 to 2012 during which he won promotion from League Two and the Football League Trophy.
Chesterfield are two points adrift of safety in the National League and take on Bedford Town at home in the FA Trophy on Saturday.
