Southern League Premier Central play-off semi-finals rescheduled for Sunday

The Premier Central play-off semi-finals have been rescheduled for Sunday, May 5.
The end-of-season showdowns have finally been confirmed for this weekend after multiple date changes.
Only this morning the Southern League announced the semi-finals would be played on Monday, but the FA changed the decision.
With King’s Lynn’s semi-final against on hold while a potential ineligible player – fielded by Stratford – was resolved, the Southern League chose to postpone the other semi between and Church in the interests of fairness.
A league statement at lunchtime on Wednesday stated both games would be played Friday night, but it was then announced by Stourbridge they would play on Thursday.
The Glassboys share their ground with the local cricket club and the changes jeopardised whether they could have home advantage.
Stratford were found guilty of fielding Daniel Creaney in league matches when the loan documents had not been received by them, the case was concluded on Wednesday morning with it being proven.
The Southern League then investigated the matter and with the co-operation of Stratford, the League’s Emergency Committee considered the case referring to documentation from the club and the FA.
The Committee found the case proven and deducted the club three points due to exceptional circumstances since they felt it was not unreasonable that the matter should have been highlighted at an earlier stage following a caution administered on February 19.
The Southern League requested to the FA that the Step 3 super play-off final between the Southern League Premier Central play-off winners and the play-off winners be delayed from May 11.
The matter was considered at an emergency meeting of the FA Alliance Committee this morning, who instructed the Southern League to move play the semi-finals on Sunday, May 5 and hold the final on Wednesday, May 8.
The Super Play-Off Final remains on May 11 meaning the NPL winners have an entire week to prepare and recover while the Southern League Premier Central winners have just three days.
