It has been a Monday to remember for Boreham Wood fans after the club made three high profile signings today ahead of the new National League season.
Coming through the gates at Meadow Park today have been Piero Mingoia, Adam McDonnell and Kabongo Tshimanga.
Mingoia, 27, joins the club with a wealth of experience having accumulated over 200 appearances in the Football League for the likes of Watford, Accrington Stanley, Cambridge United and Morecambe.
The diminutive attacking midfielder returns to Boreham Wood having played nine times for the club whilst on loan from Watford back in 2013. He spent the back end of the 2018/19 campaign on loan at League Two side Morecambe making 16 appearances.
Meanwhile, McDonnell, 22, has spent the last two seasons in the National League with Aldershot Town.
The Irish midfielder joined Ipswich Town in 2014 and went on to make nine appearances for the Championship side, making his first start for the Tractor Boys in a battling 1-0 win at Derby County in May 2016.
Finally, Tshimanga, 21, joins The Wood from National League South side Oxford City where he enjoyed the form of his life last season, netting an impressive 37 goals in all competitions to complete the triple crown of winning the Managers Players, Players’ Player and Fans Player of the Year.
The prolific striker burst into the spotlight with a superb hattrick at Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup back in November.
