Hereford and Kettering fans united today to hold a minute’s applause for a Bulls youth player who passed away this week before their National League North clash.
Hereford chairman Andrew Graham told the Hereford Times that the club are “devastated” by the death of Keiran Joyce, pictured, and say the popular member of the club’s under-16 side will be sorely missed by the academy and wider family at the Edgar Street.
“The news has left everyone at Edgar Street totally devastated and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Kieran at this most difficult of times,” Graham told fans on Friday in a club statement asking them to turn up early for the tribute before Saturday’s kick-off.
“We will continue to do whatever we can to support Kieran’s team-mates, family and friends. Out of respect for the family, we will be making no further comment at this stage, and we ask that their privacy be respected.”
