Former Shaw Lane and Brighouse Town boss Paul Quinn is the new manager of BetVictor Northern Premier League Tadcaster Albion.
Unveiled on Thursday, the highly-respected Quinn succeeds Curtis Woodhouse at the Brewers following the footballer-turned-boxer’s switch to the Gainsborough Trinity hot-seat in October.
Taddy fans will meet their new manager on Saturday when they host Marske United in the NPL’s North West Division but he won’t be in charge as first team coach Steve Waide and Michael Ingham take the helm for a final time as caretaker managers.

Quinn, who’ll officially take over on Tuesday 12 November – has promoted the duo with Waide stepping up to become assistant manager. Keeper and club captain Ingham joins his management team as Quinn prepares for the north Yorkshire club’s trip to second-placed Clitheroe next Saturday.
According to a club statement welcoming Quinn to Ings Lane, Nelly Sanderson will also continue as goalkeeper coach with Taddy currently in fifth spot and only seven points behind leaders Workington with three games in hand on the Reds.
A full-time Football Association worker, Quinn led Brighouse Town to the Northern Counties East League Premier Division title in 2014 and hadn’t ruled out a return to management.
Most recently, he was a member of the management team at Ossett United when they secured county cup success less than two years after being formed following the merge of Ossett Albion and Ossett Town.
Quinn told the club’s website: “I am delighted to have been appointed as manager of Tadcaster. This is a club I have admired from a distance for a number of years and when the opportunity presented itself it was not a difficult decision to accept.”

Woodhouse and his number two Martin Foster stood down on October 21 to take over at the Holy Blues, the former British Light Welterweight champion replacing Liam King at NPL Premier Division Trinity.
A UEFA A coach, he left the Brewers second in the NPL’s North West Division after returning to the game in the summer to take the helm.
