WHITBY’S play-off hopes suffered a setback as they were held to a frustrating goalless draw at Stafford Rangers.
Both sides went looking for an early breakthrough in an open start to proceedings and the first chance fell to the home side, with Levi Reid forcing a save from Shane Bland, who then importantly held on to Kyle Perry’s follow-up header.
Whitby responded with Dale Hopson twice shooting just wide and having another effort well-saved by the left boot of Adam Whitehouse.
