BANBURY completed a double over Chesham in the space of five days.
Since the game at Banbury on Tuesday, Chesham had parted company with manager Andy Leese, while club skipper Darren Purse had left for Bishop’s Stortford.
Banbury took advantage and grabbed a two-goal lead in the opening halfhour, Ricky Johnson heading in Tom Winters’ free kick and Luke Carnell bundling the ball over the line from a Winters corner for the second.
Chesham’s main threat came from Sam Youngs, who produced their best effort of the half but Jack Harding saved well.
