ALEX O’Brien’s deflected goal was enough to confirm Petersfield Town’s relegation as Aylesbury edged a slender win.
Bottom place is likely to be mathematically confirmed in the next week but the Rams put in a spirited performance although they couldn’t fashion any decent goalscoring chances.
The visitors took the lead on 17 minutes when the ball was pulled back to the edge of the box from the right, and O’Brien’s shot took a wicked deflection into the net.
