■MATLOCK won to reverse the result at Hurst Cross seven days ago when Ashton were 1-0 victors.
A 453 crowd roared Matlock to a convincing win, Ashton only troubling Matlock goalkeeper Phil Barnes in stoppage time when Barnes was down quickly to keep out a strike from Jack Dyche.
The main talking point of the first half came when Dyche was lucky not to be sent off for an elbow on Adam Yates on 37 minutes, the referee showing just a yellow card.
